I
live in Annapolis, Maryland with my two beautiful children. I
have been a single mother for seven years and it has been the
most challenging experience of my life. Yet, in many ways it has
also been the most rewarding. So much good has come from this
experience, for which I’m truly grateful. I want to briefly
share my story, my experience, my lessons, and what has helped
me along the way. I offer you the key to create a new life you
love - simplified.
I certainly never did. After my first child
was born I couldn’t imagine how single mothers could do
everything they needed to do, alone. The responsibilities that
came along with the raising my daughter and working full time
seemed overwhelming at times, even with a husband! Yet, almost
three years later, just before my daughter turned three and my
son was a mere three months old, I found myself in the unexpected
and shocking position of being on my own with full responsibility
for raising two children.
There
were so many changes in one year it was all I could do just to
take care of the basics. My whole life had turned upside down.
When I got divorced I moved to a new town to be near my mother
and although I had wonderful support from her, I had no friends
of my own there. It was a very difficult and lonely time. Two
years later my ex-husband died - a huge and painful loss for my
children and for me. Coping with the finality of that loss has
been an ongoing process.
Changing your life for the better is about
taking control of those things you can. You can control the beliefs
you have, the messages you give to yourself, the choices you make,
how you take care of ‘you’, how connected you are
with yourself and with others, how connected you are with Spirit
(God, Divine Guidance, that true heart feeling, or whatever you
call it). It’s all right there inside of you. Although we
all need help and support from others at times, you are your own
best resource for creating happiness and fulfillment for yourself
and your family. I’m here to ensure that you find and develop
that resource.
I know what it’s like to be on your
own, fully responsible for taking care of your family. I was fortunate
in finding a coach of my own who opened my eyes to my choices
and empowered me to design my new life. Now, after training with
Coach For Life, I help other single moms discover that they can
be victorious in life and I’m eager to do the same for you.
My own experience has had a profound effect on me. It has equipped
me and made me passionate to coach you into a fulfilling life
that’s essential for you and good your family.
